Abram Elam will host his 4^th annual T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) Elam “A Day in the Park,” weekend from Thursday, June 9 thru Saturday, June 11. The three-day event will host a sponsor reception and Community “MVP” Awards ceremony, a charity bowling event and the culminating “A Day at the Park” family-fun day.

The 4^th annual event will offer an atmosphere to help end the violence and promote pride, unity, peace and hope in the lives of children and families in the South Florida community. This year’s event will also offer a Friday evening bowling fundraising function where the adults come out and bowl with the NFL and NBA’s elite for a great cause.

(Palm Beach, FL) –Cleveland Browns Safety Abram Elam will make good on a promise that he made to the students at John F. Kennedy Middle School back in March. Elam will be taking the highest score earners on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) of each grade level and the most improved students from the 7th and 8th grade to dinner, on Tuesday, July 27, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., at the Outback Steakhouse, 10933North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, 33418.

The high achieving students, and their parents, will be picked up by limousine from the middle school and taken to the restaurant, where they will participate in  a congratulatory dinner hosted by Elam.

 “I want to stress to young people that education is the key to success in life,” said Elam. “By highlighting these successful students, hopefully it will impact more students, not only at Kennedy but at schools all over, to strive for academic success.”

The lucky students are 6th grader Rickera McFadden, 7th grader Isaiah Griffin and 8th grader Aperre Ao who scored the highest for their respective grade level in the school. Also, 7th grader Quentin Peeples and 6th grader Jada Dillion will be honored for having the most improved test scores.

“I am thankful to the Outback Steakhouse family for partnering with my foundation on this event,” said Elam. “It takes a community effort to impact our youth.”

Cleveland Browns Safety Abram Elam’s T.E.A.M. Elam Foundation and RB James Davis (Atlanta Native) Team Up Off the Field to Enrich Lives

 (Atlanta, GA) –Cleveland Browns Safety Abram Elam along with his teammate, and Atlanta native, Running Back James Davis will host a football fitness and life skills empowerment camp on Friday, July 9, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Grove Park, 750 Francis Place, 30318.

The half day event will allow the more than 300 campers that attend the Grove Park center to receive hands on football, fitness and life skills training from a host of NFL Superstars. 

“It is my hope to gain the youth’s attention by hosting a football fitness camp, however my ultimate goal is to leave them with skills they can use in the playing field of life,” said Elam. “This is why I started the T.E.A.M. Elam Foundation. I want to expose children to things that they have never experienced before, and just maybe we will be able to create a new generation of empowered leaders. “

Slated to attend the event along with Elam and Davis, is New York Jets’ Defensive Back Drew Coleman. The players will work with the youth on fitness stations, as well as, impart words of wisdom during a lunchtime session.

“I grew up playing football at Grove Park and I could have only dreamed that professional athletes would have come to talk to me,” said Davis. “We have an opportunity and responsibility to help shape and inspire the lives of young people. This is one of the most underserved communities in Atlanta, and I feel it’s my obligation to do my part.”

3RD T.E.A.M. Elam was founded in June 2008 as the brain child of NFL Safety Abram Elam. The organization was formed to help to combat violence and negative influences around youth.  As a result T.E.A.M. Elam introduces young people to an array of positive influences, who may leave a lasting impression on a child’s life. About Abram Elam

Abram Elam, #26 is a Strong Safety for the Cleveland Browns. He was acquired in an April 2009 trade between the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets. During the 2009 season he led his team in tackles with a career high 91 tackles. A year earlier Elam posted 53 tackles and 14 assists during his 2008 season with the New York Jets. He amazingly made a 92-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in week 9.

Elam had been a finalist for the GMC Sierra defensive player of the week, after a season-high of 10 tackles against Tennessee.  He sacked St. Louis quarterback Marc Bulger, forcing a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. He has won the Kyle Clifton good guy award after being voted by the coaches and players of the Jets organization.

Elam is a graduate of Kent State University, earning a degree in business specializing in marketing.

The back to school program allows selected children to enjoy a great back to school shopping experience, yet at the same time learn some of the fundamentals of budgeting. Participants have to fill out a budget sheet to help determine what they are spending and how to stretch their dollar further.
