T.E.A.M. Elam Foundation, a nonprofit 501© organization founded in June 2008 by former NFL player Abram Elam. Elam has recently partnered with his brother Matt Elam of the Baltimore Ravens in an effort to expand the Foundation’s mission to educate and enable at-risk youth.
The Foundation is deemed as one of Elam’s greatest accomplishments and representative of an establishment who desires to continually serve youth impacted by the affects of living in impoverished communities.

The foundation was constructed by Elam as a way not only to give back to his community, but to help combat violence and negative influences by exposing youth to an array of positive influences, providing a sense of empowerment by equipping them with important life skills and knowledge through pertinent programs such as financial literacy, physical fitness, mentoring, back to school drives, as well as tutoring and various community events.

Every year, the Foundation hosts “A Day in the Park” where at least 2,500 youth and families are able to experience a fun-filled day of activities with free food, giveaways, and live music, that is open for all ages. It also includes resources to motivate and educate the community about the importance of collaboration, family involvement, and unity.

The Foundation also sponsored an annual event to recognize and honor the top two students male and female, from grade levels 6th through 8th who earned the highest score on the FCAT, also the most improved score from each grade. The students along with their parents were taken to dinner, hosted by Abram Elam and were presented with awards and school supplies for their great accomplishments.

The funds received by the Foundation provide opportunities to help inspire and encourage youth and their families. The goal is to help at-risk kids rise above boundaries and limitations and achieve the imaginable of positive dreams and goals.

In 2015 several students attended the NFL game experience at the Miami Dolphins Stadium, a RBC wealth management and financial literacy course, and SMSB camp and a trip to Michigan.
